My Experience

As a caregiver to both of my parents, I experienced a need to find a flexible, caregiving service that would fit into my schedule and caregiving needs. I had difficulty finding an outside service that was trustworthy, flexible, reliable and supportive. When caring for others I bring the same compassion and consistency from my own experience of caring for my parents. In the past, I was a Licensed Nursing Assistant and worked at Home Health Care Agencies, Hospice and nursing homes.

How We Help

Happy to Help Caregivers and Seniors improves the quality of life for caregivers and seniors.  We do this by providing flexible care designed to fit the needs of caregivers’ schedules and personalized assistance and companionship for seniors. Our adaptable, non-medical care is available to families in the Chittenden County, Vermont region.

The mission of HANDS is to provide food for older Vermonters. Three primary goals include: meal and gift bag delivery throughout the county on Christmas Day; intergenerational gardening programs at senior housing, long-term care nursing centers, and community gardens with a special focus on older veterans; funding for two senior mealsites so that they can provide an additional meal per week.
